JustSomeGuy,
I mentioned on another post that I am bringing in some Stevens Rifles in different calibers. I should have at least one 308 Barrel in that group.

Savage_Jake,
I have a few Shilen Barrels on order at this time. Not sure when they will be here but they were ordered a while ago.

These would be 26" - Varmint - Small Shank - $289.00 + S&H.

These would make a good carbine.

Hammer,
I just listed a 30" - Small Shank - Bull Barrel - from McGowen. This is a 308 Win - 10 Twist. This might qualify as a barrel for the Buntline version of your carbine build.

Might just do it.

Ever stock any 300 H&H target barrels ?

As far back as 1935, the 300 H&H was being used to win the long range Wimbledon Cup at Camp Perry.

I looked on the Shilen website to check the dimensions. Is this what you mean by "small shank"?

Standard Shanks - 1.060 x 20tpi
Savage Varmint..... A: 1.060" B: .800" C: 26"

I got the information from http://www.shilen.com/savageBarrels.html

Savage_Jake,
You are correct, The specifications you have highlighted are the same as the Savage Varmint Barrels that I carry from both Shilen and McGowen.

Savage_Jake,
Best way to be sure of getting one is to order it now. If you wait for them to actually come in they may be sold out before they arrive.
