Don't be a Dufus Head!

CaptnDan posted a great list of cartridges, case head diameters and Over All Lengths compiled by hhmag to assist in action and bolt head selections at

http://savageshooters.com/SavageForum/index.php?topic=728.0

The list he reposted after the crash was really hard for me to read, so I downloaded it and imported it into excel to make it a bit more readable.  For those of you that don't have MS Office, I made a pdf file of the same information.

Again, this is hhmag's  work, not mine, I'm just offering it in a different format if you're interested.

The excel spreadsheet is at;

http://www.gunnersgear.com/savage_pics/Caliber_and_case_head_sizes.xls

The pdf file is at;

http://www.gunnersgear.com/savage_pics/caliber_case_head_sizes.pdf

Jim, if you would like to post them here, you are more than welcome to, they are for the community's use.

Thanks again Dan and hhmag!

Cool, thanks USNGunner and of course Captain Dan. I'll just be getting me a copy of both versions.

Great job Gunner, it does make it alot easier to read.

Maybe this list should be put in the articles section also, or atleast as a sticky note. That way we dont get alot of posts asking what bolt head fits which cartridge.

thanks for updating the info and making it clearer.

The list actually originated from hhmag, Dan just happened to have it saved and reposted it after the last crash.  I'll get the PDF version added to the FAQ's since that's the one everyone will be able to view (or atleast should being the software is free).

Well in that case, a big "Thanks" to hhmag too.

Thanks for pointing out the incorrect attribution.

Sorry hhmag, I didn't know where the original came from, my original post is fixed.
