Anyone own one of these?

Is this a Boyds stock?  Please shower me with any and all information you have on this set up.  I'm very interested.  I own another Savage in 243 and I trust it.  I want one in 30-06 and I want a laminate thumbhole.  If this set up is as good or better than an aftermarket boyds it may be a good starting point for me.  I'd glass bed the action but if its quality is tops then I'm game.  Thanks

I think you are confused. The model 11 is a short action. Laminate thumbhole stocks can be had from Boyds and SharpShooterSupply and I believe from Jim briggs at Northlander. Jim may have a factory thumbhole stock if there is such a thing. I havnt kept up with all the miriad variations of stuff available from the factory thats why I say "if there is such a thing".

I am doing a review on a short action (22-250) in a while. I love it so far.

Savage isnt saying who is building the stock yet but, my model 12BGTV has the boyds stock and they are very similar.

If you purchase the membership, you will be able to read the review from the 12BGTV and from the 11BTH (when Im finished).

As a side note, the Savage cataloge lists the long action as the Mod 111BTH even though the web site lists it as the model 11BTH. The catalog only lists the model 11BTH in short action cartridges.

Makes sense.  I don't know why the site lists both under the short action model code.  Seems sloppy. They've become a true contender on themarket.  Keep the site tight.

Thanks for the shout on the stock.  If you're doing a review I bet you're pleased. $12 a year aint bad.  If I get another savage I'll join for sure.  I'm 90% sure I will.  The support here is superior and always has been.  I'll have to wait till next payroll but I don't even have the new gun yet! Smiley  In time.
