Archive Boards

Q: What are the Archive Boards?
A: The archive boards contain older posts purged from the main boards after they have been inactive for more than 60 days.

Q: How far back to the archive posts go?
A: Posts within the archive go back one year (365 days). Posts more than one year old are permanently purged from the database.

A: We purge older posts for several reasons, but the primary two reasons are...
- More often than not the same questions have been asked more recently, so more recent and relevant information is available.
- Purging posts more than one year old helps keep the overall database size down, which in turn results in faster page loads and search query results.
