An 11 inch pizza is 49% bigger than a 9 inch pizza, and we all know that an 11 inch pizza is better than a 9 inch pizza.

A 458 is 49% bigger than a 375, so therefore it follows that a 458 is better than a 375.

Right ?

Given the obviousness of this argument, how do they continue to sell 375s ?

People with smaller appetites are usually less ............. for lack of a better word, rotund, right?  Therefore, the people who order the 9 inch pizzas can more easily accept the recoil of the 375s than they can the recoil of the 458s.  C'mon, Art!  Makes perfect sense!  Think about these things a little, will ya?   Wink

Unless of course, you can buy TWO 9" pizza's for less than one 11".....thereby increasing your "pizza value" by 52%!

Ya, here they have "buy one get one free" specials all the time. Two 375's should be better than one 458 I would think.

some people hunt small game and the 375 is ideal for that, no need to over kill it with a 458

BOGOS for 9" pizzas can be found but no BOGOS for 12" pizzas being offered around these parts.

I wonder how the 375 would be on tree squirrels? Huh Shocked  Brings a whole new meaning to "barking" squirrels.  Instead of hitting bark, you could just aim for the nearest 2" of wood. Grin  Course, with the 458 would could aim 4" deep.

.458 pizza kicks like the dickens.  My .375 kicks more like a calzone (not nearly as much).

I love big guns, but there are a number of factors that would drive me to the .375 H&H.  Cost, (already have the smaller gun).  Have dies, components, experience, well sighted in low power scope. etc.

Of course I want a .458.  Also a .416 and a .470 double.  I don't need any of these in North America, and will probably turn down a trip to Africa next year because of budgetary considerations plus my back trouble (yellow streak).  CB

It depends are we talking a 458 with regular Crust (458 Win Mag) or deep dish(458 Lot)?
