Any Savage guys around Portland want to get together and go over my project with me? I'm pretty sure I can do it myself but it would be nice to go over it in person with someone. Thanks.

I'm in Vancouver, WA. Just across the river.
I've got go/no go gauges for the .308 class, barrel nut wrench, big fatty crescent wrench, and action wrench.
What are you planning?

Sounds like a western Savageshooters get-together in the making.

I second the idea of a west coast savage shooters get together. California, Oregon and Washington or "COW" for short.LOL  Sorry, just getting a little stupid there. Grin
Anyhow count me in if it does start to materialize. Maybe each year one of the states members can take turns hosting the event in their respective state. I would volunteer to help put something together in Northern California if needed.

I'm building a 22-250 AI. Have evything but the action wrench and am still about 4 week or so from getting my Shilen barrel. It will in a Duramax stock with a Riflebasix2 trigger. I wouldn't mind having some help busting the old barrel loose if you (czgunner) want to pm me.

Thanks.

Oh and BTW I lived in Selah for 10 years. Sure miss shooting in the LT Murrey.

Any time, brother.
I'm using a .260 Shilen barrel, and it's been really accurate for me.
