I'm in Salem. Can offer tips and assistance for barrel swaps. Have wrench, barrel vise and some Go gauges.

Sounds like alot of interest in a get-together. Someone needs to step-up and try to organize this thing. You guys wont regret it. We have a blast at ours.

Ok, I am just going to throw this suggestion out there for thought. Why don't we first throw possible locations into the hat and see what comes up. Then do a little more research on a few of the more promising locations.
I will put the first optional location into the hat for California. I have been to this location once. It is called Hat Creek Gun Club. It is located on HWY299 West an hour and a half out of Redding. The club holds 500 yard silhouette matches there. It is in the mountains and not far from one of the best trout stream in Northern California so you could take a break and go fishing if you wanted to. There is room to camp there at the range. There is also lodging in the town of Fall River or Burney. Because of it's remote location you would want to make a weekend out of it. I do not know if they have water or electric at the location yet. They didn't when I was there last. That was about two years ago. They did have rest rooms though. I don't have any more details other than that at this time.
Ok, who else has any possible locations?

It looks like nothing ever came of a M&G shoot this yr ?
How about planning something for 2010 since there is a lot of time until decent weather returns.

Oh hey RK...lol if we do a SSF shoot it should be up where we shot at this year for FMA shoot. Its free and easy to get to.....other than that my only other suggestion would be ARPC if there were enough members to offset the amount of none members.

Hey Guys,

I am in the Portland Metro area also.  I am about to start my first Savage project.  I am looking for a donor rifle as we speak, no Savage tools yet.

I plan on building a .260 Tactical Rifle/F class???

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanx

I'm up in Wenatchee WA, a good 4.5-5hrs away... but the other three members of Team Savage F/TR live in or around Portland (Welches, Damascus, etc.) and are members / officers @ Douglas Ridge Rifle Club which has range all the way out to 1k... and long range days every Thursday, I believe Wink

DRRC would be better, with the 1K range we can have some fun.
If there is enough interest,i will approach the club and see if we couldn't hold a shoot there.
Been a member there for several yrs and it is a nice facility, maybe i canalso talk Stan and John into coming out   Grin
