Just traded for this Bolt action .308 with 22" barrel and trying to determine what I have. It is a SA (4.52) with markings on Barrel,
REVELATION, Model 235-A, .308 Cal., Savage Arms Westfield, Mass. USA. Also appears to be a (SP6) marking with # 36 below that marking.

Serial # D784622, also bolt has 4622 engraved by hand on it.

Wow, tough one.

The Revelations were made for Western Auto by Savage but I can't find a source for the 235 anywhere in the cross reference tables.

Found a 250-A Revelation which was the Savage 110.

I'll try to dig a bit deeper.

Probably has no impact on value at all.  The store brands have hardly ever had any value other than as shooters.  Don't really know why but it applies to about all of them - Ted Williams, Revelation, Ranger, etc.

LOL funny about name, but look at a new Steven's and a pre accu trigger used Savage. Savage will cost ya more most of the time.

eric,
I have  a  revelation 235-b  chambered for a 243. My  dad bought it at western auto back in the  early 80's. I cant find a cross reference anywhere. I was told it was a savage 340 but  i cant say for  sure.

340's were never chambered in 243.  If you can provide a pic we can ID it for you (maybe!).

Rub some white chalk over the numbers may bring out some more numbers that are hard to see
