Well that has been my usual method, I just thought I would try something different this time.

Ok, now I am going to ask what is probably a really stupid question so please treat me gently.

I have done a fair number of Savage builds and very comfortable with them but I am totally clueless on Remy and Win70. So,
Am I correct that both the Winchester Model 70 and the Remington 700 both use the same 1.0625x16 thread?
If that is correct, would these barrels and barrel nut not work equally well on the Model 70?
Like I said, probably stupid question and may have already been asked in this thread as I have not gone back and looked again before posting this as I should have.

Specifically I am considering two possible builds around this configuration at this time. A Remington 700 action and an FN SBR DBM (essentially a pre-64 model 70?).
Ok, one last question from the idiot box. If all of that craziness is true, what other specific model actions use that same thread and might also be applicable.
