Is the ML I simply a SA Savage with a 223 bolt head and some kind of a gismo breech plug, like a cartridge, that uses the bolt locking lugs to hold it in?

My question:  Could you use a LA?  Do the Black Powder barrels interchange just like regular rifle barrels?  Is all the ML I stuff still available?  Where?

I don't see any ML stuff for sale.

The original 10ML was made for just one season; the ATF ruled it a form 4473 firearm. No, you can't just use a long action and the barrels are not interchangeable.

The originals, that use primer modules, are still serviced by Savage Arms directly if you need new primer modules, or a breechplug, etc.
