I already have a Pre Accutriger Savage 10ML-II in 50 cal and I know I can rebarrel it with a Pac Nor barrel to 45 caliber .

However I would prefer a factory 10ML-II in 45 caliber !

Anybody heard in rumors or such about Savage bringing the 10ML-II in 45 caliber ?

It is not in the works, period. .45's are dead in mainstream muzzleloading.

Well I don't really consider myself "mainstream" !

Maybe they'll make what you said an untruth at some point .

Savage Arms has made it clear that there are no plans to do so.

You are quite correct in thats what they say when one calls them !

I call them every couple months and ask them again if they have any intentions of bringing it out in 45 !

Savage isn't run by idiots.
If the home-brewed .45's continue to gain ground, I wouldn't be surprised to see them start turning them out at the factory.
I'm seriously considering building one after this season is over.
I loved my Winchester .45, but sold it when I got my smokeless Savage.

At present I also own a pair of Knight Disc Rifles in 45 anf 50 cal so I cam relate !

I have also considered going the Pac Nor route and making my own !

However to do that I need to purchase a second 10ML-II as I have no intentions of rebarreling my present 10ML-II .
And I figure by the time I find a used 10ML-II and rebarrel I'll still have about $650 tied up in it ! And if I have to purchase a new gun to rebarrel you may add $200 to that !

The Pac Nor .45 barrel will set you back about $400.00 shipped. Embarrassed

Tucker301 , there's another forum I cannot remmeber the name of at the moment that dealt solely with 10ML's and a good bit of the talk was about making the 45 conversion ! Heck they even had photo by photo thread of how to do the conversion !

If I can ever remmeber the name or run acroos it again I will post a link here !
