This may have been addressed in an earlier discussion, but I was not able to locate it.

I'd like a Mark II BTVS with the FVT (or similar) peep sight system on it.  I called the repair/service shop and basically got a flat no... something about a rear mounting block.  If that's true, it's really unfortunate.  The thumb hole stock and stainless finish seems to call out for a club competition aperture setup.

Before I give up on buying a BTVS I'd like to understand the actual technical reason why this is not doable.

They are to lazy to drill the holes in the side of the receiver and the dovetail in the barrel. You could buy a FTV and put a thumbhole stock on it. It should take about 5 minutes to remove the wood to fit the site.
