shoot it the way it is, see how it works for you. i dont care for the choate stocks myself, but ive got small hands and the grips too big. a buddy(big guy) loves his, and it fits him well. my son bought a 10fp awhile back, thing amazes me at how well it shoots w no tweaking. durn near hangs w my home built customs. really, the only thing that turns me off is the factory stocks. i dunno if urs is centerfeed or the older staggered feed style, which changes what aftermarket stocks u can find.

grab some federal gold medal match, or if u reload, or know anyone who does, try any of the loads above, or my favorites, 44g varget w a sierra 175mk, or 46.5g varget w a 155 lapua scenar. standard cautions apply, start at the listed starting load and work up. the 10FPs ive seen all shoot these loads well, and they perform well to LR

before u trick out the gun any further, u need to get decent rings bases, and optics. i recomend badger steel bases and rings...and for scopes check out the reviews on SWFAs super sniper line. the original 10x sits on my 308, and itll never come off. wonderful budget priced scope that just plain works. they also have a 3-9 variable, and a limited edition 10x w HD glass. theres other fine optics out there, and ull get tons of differing recomendations. checkout

for some good info

btw, if the weathers good, get off the puter and go shootin...hehe...no substitue for trigger time
