There is an article in Shooting Times. This model has an adjustable comb and is made in other calibers. There isn't anything on SavageArms website. Is there any other information on it? LH model? It didn't say what the barrel contour was either.

ba_50,
The article mentions that the barrel is .610 at the muzzle - 24" long. Typically manufacturers will get a new rifle up and running before offering it in a LH Version - supply and demand rules the market place.

That article has really piqued my interest and, if they offer it in 270, I'm afraid I'll have to make room for one.  I hope we can find out more about them soon!

Hi guys, I called Savage the other day and spoke with Kathy. She said that the long range hunter "might" be available around the beginning of December. I also asked about additional chamberings and was told .25-06, .300 WSM, .300 Winchester, and .308. I am definately interested in picking one up.
