Don't own a micrometer and need to know the bolt diameter to order a bore guide.  Anybody got the number handy?

What kind of bore guide are you getting? If your going with a Lucas you only need to tell him its for a Savage and the rod you are going to use ie Tipton, Dewey. The bolt raceway is about .702 I believe but if Im wrong someone will correct me.

Thanks.  Got a micrometer and measured it at .695".  Later confirmed that with Savage service.  Ordered a Dewey bore guide and a Tipton carbon fibre rod among other things.

I have several Dewey guides.  Just got my first Lucas guide for my 30BR last month.  I will be getting one for the 6BR barrels in the near future.  i really like the Lucas design.   Tim
