I am starting to see Savages with a different bolt stop, no big black lever on the right side of the action.  Is this to be the new configuration for the whole lineup?

That is the new change for this year on the accu-stock, and a couple of other guns. They moved the bolt releases to the front of the trigger guard. As of right now they are not using it on the entire line up of guns, but I would not be surprised if they made the change to the entire line up of Savage, and Stevens in the years to come.
