i've got a 110 that was given to me Chirstmas '80.  for the last few years i've been wanting to replace the rifle (looks and performance).  two yrs ago my father inlaw had some cartridges made up and the thing "HAMMERS".  where i was seeing 3" groups, now i see <3/4".  so it AIN'T for sale.  But the trigger and stock must go..

Trigger...accutrigger, due to age is out.  Right??  Timney i know a little about...any others i should be thinking about?

Stock....due to wrist breaks in the past the tradition stock hurs...i've been looking at "richards microfit" thumbhole checkpiece bench stock.

any thoughts suggestions on either?

Before you decide to replace it, check to see if it is the 3 screw trigger. If it is, it can be adjusted to a level that will satisfy you. A lighter music wire spring and some tweaking on the  screws can get a clean pull of less than 3 #.

As far as stocks, I am waiting for Hogue to hit the market with their Overmolded stocks for the 110.

with savage changing the screw spacings you can forget about houge ever getting off the duff and coming out with a stock they have been promising for 5 years!

SSS is you one stop shop. They make the best trigger, and great stocks.

I say polish, NOT FILE, Polish the trigger/sear surfaces, and adjust your screws. Comes out much better than the snafu-triggers.

SSS trigger is the only trigger IMO.

Stock, well I am not so sure.

Typically, I either want the lightest stock I can find for hunting, IE a tupperware
or something like a B+C duromax either for target or to handle more recoil like a magnum etc.

The duromax is a really good hunting stock but a bit heavy.
The medalist is a decent bench pdog stock

Never have tried the B+C carbelite.

Not sure about your action screw spacing though.
