with a savage precision target action, what is the most potent chambering that will still eject a live round?

I see they are offered in .223 or standard bolt face.

Maybe someone who has one, can measure the ejection port and post it here.

depends on what you mean is potent but a 7mm wsm is pretty stout or a 338 wsm.

I didn't see a wsm bolt face offered for this action.

I'm told the target actions are "large shank".  If this is correct, then a wsm casing is certainly an option.

I've got a 7wsm rifle already, so that's what got me thinking...

They dont offer a wsm factory, but all you need is a bolthead change and you're in business. 5 minute job.

I just measure my 2 target actions and both ejection ports measure 3.040". So anything with a 3" COL should eject fine. Anything longer would have to be picked out of the port by hand if a live round, but it would still eject a spent case.
