Advice for a novice gun build

Hey guys,

Looks like I found the right place to learn more about
my brand.
I have a few Savage rifles around the house and one of them
is a 11fcns w/detach mag 270wsm.
Although this gun doesn't have one of the beefer actions, I'm
considering making some changes to better suit my needs, but
need advice/suggestions.
I have already purchased one of the new Choate tactical stocks
w/detach mag that will fit the 4.411 reciever. They told me will
accept 1.25 on the barrel.
Looking to SSS for a barrel in 26" heavy varmint or bull taper
w/1-10 stainless matte, Either accu-trigger job or aftermarket
like the SSS comp trigger,
all accu-triggers i have are very heavy, bout' pull the gun out
of the bags! need about 1-1.5 lb for me but can't get much adjust
from these.
also, guess i need a recoil lug as the one on there now seems
to be bent.
Planning on adding tactical bolt handle from SSS also.
I am considering a true and time job on the action but some
say isn't needed on savage. Need ideas on this. Suggestions welcome.

 What do you have in mind for the rifle?

 26" bull barrel= HEAVY, certainly not a walking aroung gun. Add in a Choate stock and you have a very front end heavy rifle.  I prefer magnum or varmint contours myself.
 SSS recoil lugs are top rate. So are their triggers.
 IMHO timing and trueing a sporter action is kind of pointless, but if you were going to those lengths I'd have SSS install the Evolution trigger at the same time.

Yea, I would like a more balanced set-up (walking alot in south
Texas- Victoria area) and am trying to keep
costs down on this particular gun. Probably going with a varmint
contour and new lug and the sss comp trigger or rifle basix.
I have quite a few savage rifles around here, but have only
had work done on one of them. It is an old 7-08 savage tactic I
picked up at a show for $300 and did just a trigger change and a
bedded stock and it shoots tighter 5-shot groups than my stock
12fvss

Almost forgot,

Using this gun for general hunting purposes-deer, hogs, occasional
exotics, some short range bench, out to 400 yds or so.
