Just as title says. Say one online and like to use it as a deer hunting rifle. Yes i know its big gun to carry as one but i stand hunt 90 percent of time. I got a bull barrel remington now so weight is not a problem.

Hows the recoil on one with the weight and muzzle break???

Compared to my 111 in 300 win mag, my 110 FCP-K is a joy to shoot.  The muzzle brake will clear any light items off your shooting bench pretty quickly.  It is heavy but not too heavy.

I couldn't find one locally and lucked out getting a new listing on Gunbroker.com

The 110 series seems to be much harder to find.

Hi, I am  new here.
Just got a 110 FCP 300 win mag and I am afraid it was the last one ,they were discontinued . Spoke to the marketing manager at Savage, she told me that they can special order me one for 999.  Checked  all the gun shops on net  nothing " out of stock" got lucky at the gun brokers . It was 734  12 bids later 805.
I guess its Savage 11/111 in 300win mag  for the 2010.

Cant wait to get my baby Grin

I talked to Savage and the .25-06 is being discontinued. I don't know about the .300WM. The .223s and .308s are selling well. Once I read on this site that the .25-06 had a non-beavertail forend, like a tactical or heavy barrel rifle should, I bought a .223. I suspect the long action hunting style stock turns a lot of people off and that is why they don't sell well. They are still around on Gunbroker at this point, but not for long I suspect.

Yes, the beavertail forend stock is much nicer on the short action version.  It's not really that bad without on the long action since it is still an Accustock.
