Thats awesome man. What part of Iowa you gonna be huntin'? They have Eastern and Rio's there dont they? I'm from Oklahoma we Have Easterns in far Eastern OK and Rios everywhere else and a Few Merriam in the tip of the Panhandle. I worked in Nebraska(first time ever been up there) for about 2 months this yr and did alot of driving around back roads and could not believe the numbers of Turkeys!!! I always thought of deer when I think Nebraska but not anymore. I was gonna go up there after my first Merriam this spring but it hasnt come together yet. Maybe next yr.

We hunt SE Iowa where a friend of mine has 1200 acres. We also hunt deer there and the deer hunting is great. Here is a trail camera picture of the drop tine buck I shot there in 2008. He is 16 points and scored  169 3/4 Grin.

Thats a nice buck. We(me and Dad) have 900 acres we hunt in south central OK. Used to see several 140"-150" inchers and a few 160+ but they have cleared alot of the timber that was there for cattle so now there is some 120"s we see often and occasionally see one bigger passin through but don't stay long cause of all the cattle. I say any time you shot one over 140 he's a great buck and that one you've got pictured is a great buck with lots of character, I'm a drop tine sucker Grin
