Barrel should be here tomorrow. Looks like a range trip Wednesday for sight in and load testing.

i dont know if this will help cause i shoot a 12fv model with a 26" barrel. but what works best for me is
39gr BK
27.5gr H4895
cci 450
.010 off the lands
fps 3975
.325 group shooting off bi pod 5 shot @ 100yrs
If you do try this load start out at like 26grs of powder and work your way up, check primer pressures and any indications of over pressure. cci 450 are small mag primmers too. in my gun this load is safe but will say it is over any recommended load data. i was trying to get the bullet closer to the rpm it needed in my barrel twist. also keep in mind this is a closed bolt gun. if may be used in ar or gas or piston action gun make sure spring rates are able to handle so your not slamming parts together such as your bolt or buffer.

I shoot off of a Caldwell "The Rock". My best grouping to date has been with the 39 grain SBK, .143" for five shots at 100 yards.

Loaded many 39SBK for my LRPV,which shot the Fedral factory w/39SBKs in .333 right out of the box.Subsequent reloads with varget got me into the 2s.Since switched to IMR 8208 XBR because of temp insensitivity, and it just pours great.I discribe it as super short cut,or "cubes". 27.2 works in my gun. With the 32SBK I use 28gr.

I have 2 204s but neither one is a SAVAGE BUT 30.7 GR. OF BLc-2 and 32 gr Vmax works real well in both guns. The Ruger 77VT will shoot in the .0 to low .1s center to center pretty regular. I have never tried the 39 or 40 gr.
