Has anyune used these primers in 308 Winchester brass? Any problems ? I bought a new Lee auto prime xr and had a difficult time seating these primers in twice shot brass that was tumbled, neck sized and trimmed, primer pockets were cleaned.

They're all I use in my M1A. Never had a problem.

They're hard cup primers for use in military rifles with a floating firing pin. The harder cup is supposed to eliminate slam firing.

And CCI says they're the same as the Magnum primers. Might have to work up another load if you switch to them.

I have used them before but have always seeted them with my press so I prob never noticed with the extra leverage. I already had worked the load with them and was loading up 300 rounds to go enjoy at the range. I just purchased the hand primer to make things a little quicker and noticed them needing more pressure to seat than the primers I used for my 300 win mag and the 7 rem mag. I will not use them after the 300 rounds are fired. I will choose another primer and work new load for differernt bullit. usually get bored with a combination by the time and want something new.

I use them for all my 7.62x39 loads. Always with Lee Auto-prime with no problems.

It just may be your RP brass. Not long ago, I bought RP 223 brass in bulk. The primer pocket was so tight, I couldn't get my uniforming cutter into the pocket. I ended up running all the brass through my Dillon swager and that opened up the pocket so I could prep it.

Some yrs back when I shot pistol competition I got several bricks of CCi primers for.45 auto and .38 special and could not get them into the brass. I had to ream all primer pockets then discard the brass after the primers were gone. I wont use CCI again.

It's kind of the luck of the draw, my last bag of Remington Peters in 204 Ruger was good quality with no problems with the primer pocket. Case weight was just as good as Nosler or Lapua! Could Remington's quality control be getting better!?

I just got a hundred .270 & except for square neck holes, they were good to go.

I've never had need for CCI 34's but I do use 200's & like them alot especially in my used Fed brass where Winchester primers are too loose.

Gotta squeeze every last bit of life out of those cases... They cost more & more each time I look....
