Very nice! Wish I could do even CLOSE to that on my best day, LOL! Ah well, I had a time of very good accuracy. I can still hit what I aim at, no problem. But my days of ONE RAGGED HOLE, are long gone.

Great shooting wbm. Very impressive.

Mine too David...well 99 percent of the time. Actually I was out with my AR and, new to me, Fiocchi 55gr FMJBT Range Dynamics. They did not do well in the AR but did great in the Axis.
Happened to have the 60 V-Max hand loads in my ammo box so i gave them a go in the AR...Meh...fair.

But they done good in the Axis!

Years ago I shot a incredible 3 shot group with the 60 grain vmax and Win. 748 out of my Savage 10FPLE2A .223 . So last week I tried the 53 Grain Vmax's in the same gun doing a ladder test using H335, Win 748 and H322. The H322 had the tightest group at about .25 in. Best load was 23.5 grains. No signs of pressure. As always work up the loads to work in your rifle.

Savage 10FP LE-2A

Had one of those also.

Wish I could find 335 here.

Yeah, I haven’t seen 335 AT ALL, for it seems almost 2 years. Last summer, I picked up 2# of Accurate 2495 when powder had ALL been sold out online & stores for like 6-9mo. Midway was just starting to get it in at the time. They had that, 2460 & X-Terminator at the time. But the 2495 was at a price I couldn’t pass up, no matter how bad it’s gonna be. LOL! It was like $24/lb. Then, a couple months later, they got inn BLC-2 & I nabbed another 2lbs. So I’m sitting ok with powder. For ME, as I’m unable to get out as much as I’d like. I’ve only shot once in the last year! (Pathetic, I know.)

Our Sportsmans was starting to get a stockpile of powder. They had stuff like Win 748, 760, 296, 231 IMR 4198, Varget (yes, several cans), etc, etc. Probably 40 1lb canisters. Then there was a gun show in town and it all disappeared again.

Yeee-up! That’s how it’s wrote now.. Need to be patient, diligent & jump on it when you can. I feel fortunate to have gotten these 2 cans of BLC-2. Especially since it’s my top 223 powder anyway. :surprise:

In a factory stock model 10 in 223, a 73 gr Berger, Varget, LC brass and BR-4 primer has been taking the prize money fairly consistently at 100 yd varmint for score competitions here in Austin. Stuff the Berger into the lands and the heal sits on top of the charge. Not compressed, but just about a max charge with that bullet and a stock chamber. When the wind is blowing 15 to 20 and you're cleaning the targets, plus a few X's, that's pretty remarkable shooting for a stock Savage, or any stock rifle for that matter.

Just so you know I'm not blowing smoke. http://benchrest.com/showthread.php?104669-Austin-Rifle-Club-Match-Results-Feb-27-2022

Very cool!

Since the larger Bergers do so well in my .308 I have thought about using them in the .223. Maybe I'll have to jump in there. :)
