What is the twist for Savage Stevens sporter barrels in??
22-250
243
25-06
308
Next, I have a 22-250 barrel on the way, it had sights, none now. What size blank = "just threaded rod with a screwdriver slot" screws do I need to fill the holes? Where can I get these blank screws? How many do I need?
Is there a place I can find the ctgs that fit various bolt heads? How many bolt head sizes are there?
Thanks for the help;

"Where can I get these blank screws? How many do I need?"
Probably Brownells, or any bolt/fastener supply house, as to the question of How many YOU need ???.....Count the holes ::)
Bolt heads are a lot of places, Brownells, Midway, etc.

Last time I needed plug screws I asked my smith and he handed me about 50. Might be worth a try.

Don't bother with the plug screws, just fill the hole with a black crayon.

That works till the gun sits in the sun/car. We all know what happens to crayons left in the car! ;D

The gun shouldn't be sitting in the car...you should be out shooting it. ;D

I'll try him, what's his adddress? Does he have any black crayons? I don't think crayons come in black.
Does he know the twist in Savage 22-250, 243, 25-06 and/or 308 barrels?
Thanks;

If he has a tuperware stock, I believe that will melt quicker than the crayons if left in a hot car!
