I have heard that 4831 can be a good powder for the heaver
bullets in the 9 twist.Does anyone know where I could find
some loading data for this? I got to get this rifle shootin
better than it is..I am thinking of just staying with the 55
grains..And not use the 69....Any ideas on this? Thanks John

Wow.... 1 in 9 twist is slow for that caliber, is it not?
What book are you using? Lyman doesn't even show 4831 but then, it's also showing a 1 in 14 for their test data. My .243 likes 4831 with 90's but it's a 1 in 10...
I'm sure one of our "seasoned" reloaders will have something on that combo. They almost always do.

I found a lot using H4831 with 70 grain bullet.I used the same data for the 69 grain SMK..I am really impressed
with it...At was shooting 1/2 4 shot groups at 125 yards with it.I need to try it again..1 in 9 is a fast twist...If that
load works again,it is going to be my go to load for match shooting...MAYBE...lol
