I am looking at the Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40sf. Any input on this scope. It will be used on a .308.

Good scope, I used to have one. Somewhat limited on elevation (50MOA, IIRC) which COULD be a factor depending on how far you shoot.

I still have one on my .243 BoilerUP is right on the limited elevation. I put a 20MOA rail on mine just to get the distance that I wanted (1000yds). The scope is clear and adjustments are true. I got mine from MidwayUSA last year for $10 less than they are selling them for today ($324). I could be wrong, but I don't think you will find a better scope in that price range.

Thanks guys. I will be keeping it under 500yds for the most part. Midway is where I was looking at them and they are out of stock right now but I am sure they will get more. Good to hear about someone using one out to 1,000 yards. I have been very happy with the Nikon's (Monarch) that I have had a chance to use in the past and was impressed with the clarity of the glass. I was looking at a Mueller for a wile and even though I have had Muellers in the past, I just want a bit better scope.
