I bought a heavy sporter Shilen barrel from Jim and have Whidden bushing dies coming. All the bad I've read about Hornady brass has me wanting to make my own from other cases I have on hand. With what is a good size bushing to start? This is a hunting rifle, not BR, so I need some tension to keep the bullets from falling in the case.
Thanks!
Ben
All the bad I've read about Hornady brass has me wanting to make my own from other cases I have on hand.
Why is it that I have never had a problem with Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor brass? I also read about the bad but I have never experienced that.
Am I just lucky and always get good brass or does someone else always get bad brass? My personal thoughts when I read about people taking .308, 22-250, 243 and trying to make "better" Creedmoor brass than factory Hornady are...BULL! I am on my third Creedmoor build and have never had any more or less problems with Hornady brass than any other.

just get hornady custum deluxe dies.
That is what I use. I like them.

I couldn't find any Hornady dies locally, however, I found them at Cabela's so I ordered 'em.
Thanks!

+1 on the brass, not had any issues with mine currently on 5-6 loadings. Oh and use the hornady custom dies also.
Like it so much, going to build a 6mm Creedmoor.
