Has anyone tried Alliant Power Pro MR2000 powder in a .308? Published data from Alliant is showing some very impressive velocitys for the .308. I really don't have time to do any .308 load workup right now but a local shop has some of the MR2000 on the shelf and I was thinking about picking up a pound to try later. Thanks

Yep. Love the stuff. Easy to weigh, like a squished ball powder. I have a load for it using 175gr SMK. The powder likes the hot side of things. After I tried one pound, I went and bought 3 more. Haven't shot of chronograph yet, but I like my groups and the way it shoots.

I have a pretty good load for my 9mm using Unique where the load is on the low end. :D

I will be buying this powder after all I have read on it. I will be using it shooting 150gr Barnes bullets in a 20 inch 308 to get the max velocity yet safe pressures !
