Can anyone tell me the difference between Winchester Match Comp. Target and Winchester Ranger Match? Both 69 grains, both HPBT, both 3060 fps. Is The Ranger just the LE version or is there some other difference I don't see. Are they both Sierra MatchKing? Thanks for your help.

All I could find info on was the Ranger, and it said it was a bonded bullet, so I don't think it would be a SMK. Maybe one is a SMK and the other a bonded?

The only 223/5.56 Ranger round that's bonded is the RA556B which uses a 64gr bonded solid base bullet. Only reference they give for the 69gr bullet as to type is that it's a BTHP. My guess is that the only way you'll know for certain is if you call Winchester and ask them, but that's assuming you get lucky and talk to someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

This is what I saw. They possibly have their ad wrong, so that may be causing some of the confusion.

Nso123. I think you're right. I just looked at Sportsmans Guide and they are saying all their Winchester Ranger Match .223, 69 grain has MatchKings. I know that's not correct. It looks like the difference is just that the Ranger Match hpbt is not SMK and the Winchester Match is SMK. Everything else looks the same.
