Please excuse my ignorance as I'm still learning about all this bbl. / caliber switching stuff w/ Savages. But, I've gotten the bug for a .17 Rem. and was wondering if it would be possible to convert a Stevens .243 that I have to a .17 Rem. And if so, what might the conversion entail, aside from a new BBL of course.
I figure it would be easier with a .223, as that is the Parent case of the .17 Rem., but I have an unfired Stevens in 243 just sitting around collecting dust that I'd like to use if possible. The .243 I have is a staggered feed, if that matters.
Appreciate any input you may have to offer.
Thanks,
YB
