I have a 10FP that I cannot get to shoot the 75gr A-Max. I am very frustrated. I can get the 77gr Nosler CC to group .5".
Anyone use the A-Max with success? Any good loads to try?

I have a Shilen , 1:9 twist.
it shoots the 75 A-Maxes pretty good.
a few times , 3 shot groups were in 2-3's , & 5 shot groups in the 3-4's.
it will shoot them better than I can.
at 200 yds, they still group very well. have not shot them beyond 200 yds. yet. expect to as soon as I get to a 300 yd. range
in my rifle both H-4895, or Varget, both using 24.5 grs. get about 100 fps more with the H-4895.
just remember the 24.5 grs. worked in my rifle, & may not in yours, so you should start lower & work up.
have 60 rds of Sierra, 69 gr. loaded up, just need a decent day to shoot them.

My 1-9 Savage also didn't care for the 75 A-Max. Problem wasn't the weight, as 75 Bergers were good, as well as 80 Sierras. Every barrel has it's own preferences though.
Mine shoots them very well. The load is lapua brass, 23.7 gr varget, fed. 205m primers. I have the bullet seated touching the lands. Alot of people seem to do well with a stiffer charge than me . I would try varget or h4895 as they seem to do well for others. N135 would be another choice.
What powder and charge did you try with the a- max's ? ;)
