View Full Version : stevens 200
were Stevens 200's (SA) made with different screw spacing, or are they all the same? What might they be? I am wondering how well one in .243 might serve for a 6mm BR build?

Stevens 200's apply to all the same rules as the regular Savage 10/110 series actions do with screw spacing and Magazine types.
This Link (http://www.savageshooters.com/content.php?269-How-To-Remove-Your-Blind-Mag-Body-and-Follower-(SF-and-CF)) will help you identify which magazine style you have.
All long actions all have the same spacing of 5.062" regardless of mag style. The SA-SF has a screw spacing of 4.27" and the SA-CF is 4.40".
If you are building a 6BR as a single shot, either action will work great. If you want a repeater, I would opt for the CF action so you can try to pick up one of the 6BR mag bodies and follower.
Thanks, Boots.
That's what I was hoping was the case.
and I figured you'd help.
I almost PM'ed you directly for this info. :)
When the danged USPS gets their head outta their "blind spot" and pays-off on my insurance claim so I can get the 6BR barrel repaired, I'll get to work on this build.

I figured you'd help.
Am I getting that predictable?
Seriously, I help if I can. PM me pics of those barrel threads if you can.
