That is a great looking rig you got there. I have the same JP muzzel break on my model 10 and love it. Solid groups by the way.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt56/dhafelein/image.jpg1_1.jpg (http://s597.photobucket.com/user/dhafelein/media/image.jpg1_1.jpg.html) Good day at BangSteel.

Photo is not me, but my buddy at the first day of classes at BangSteel. Brand new Savage 10 FCP-SR, less than 100 rounds thru barrel. Above photo is 900 yards. That looks to me to be about a 0.5 MOA. I had some screws come loose on my scope base, but still managed hits at 1000 yards, until aforementioned screws went south.

Special thanks to Dan Newberry, his son Forest, and Steve, for their coaching at BangSteel. Well worth the time and money.

Darn good shooting. I'm also happy to see another Bang Steel alumnus!

Very good, glad he wasent shooting at me. Just goes to prove that average people can do this stuff with the right equiptment
and a little instruction. And of coarse the location to do it.

Put together a heavy barrel .223 on a Savage 12 LRP action for my nephews to shoot with me out to 1K. Runs right with the 6.5 Creedmoor out 600, loses some steam and a couple mils at 1K but gets there just fine. Here's a 10 shot group with Black Hills reman 77SMK at 100 yards after zeroing the scope.

This is one of my best groups out of a bone stock model 16 in .308. Three shots at 100yds, shooting Australian Outback factory ammo loaded with 165gr Sierra Gamekings. It usually averages moa +/- with factory ammo. Would like to get into hand loading someday, but I keep buying guns and parts instead. Thanks! It's just a 110 FCP .338 Lapua factory action. Had it trued but that's it.
That group was with 250 gr. BTHPs during load development, not factory ammo. I couldn't afford to shoot it if that were the case!

Great group!

105gr Berger Hybrid? Berger website doesn't show a 108gr Hybrid.

Some guys really need to learn how to actually measure group size. For instance if you see 2 bullet holes barely touching,, that makes the group the size of the caliber being used. It's very easy for an experienced eye to rough out a group size if there is more than one hole and you know the caliber being used.

The bullet does not leave a dark mark on the paper that is exactly .243. A bullet going through this paper makes a .220 dark ring. That .17 was measuring with calipers and subtracting the .220. My phone app measured closer to ~.18. I added some more pictures for your experienced eyes.

You are right, it's not a hybrid! I always thought it was. Just 108gr BT target.

Key, you don't use the.220 number you are shooting .243, at bench rest matches they use a scale with rings the size of the caliber you shoot.
