I have an issue, I purchased a Sinclair 30 call comparator for loading .308 and .300blk. I wasn't able to get a reading with it, it was sliding down the bullet to the case mouth. I tried some factory rounds and many of those went to the case mouth and others were very close.
The comparator measures at .307/8 using my mechanical calipers. To me this just seems to big. Is the Hornady version better, or should I just use a smaller comparator? I am just wanting to get repeatable measurements. I have a 6.5mm one I can use.
