I may have missed it but what brand barrel was it that Jim cambered for you? Is this one of the new X-Caliber barrels? 10 twist I imagine. What length? brake? How about a pic of the gun? How many grooves in the barrel?

Good shooting. Got to love the Edge! I got a 30" Pac-Nor on mine with their 3 groove and love it!

Stupid 160gr load, let me tell you after firing a few shots off with that load, you will be on your hands and knees saying "I'm not worthy" LOL

Dean

Nice Rig, the Purple is a little to Gay for me, but still nice Rig, LOL

Dean

PS: The RUM case can hold 100+ grains of powder, use all of it.

It's not purple it's "lavender" LOL

Even with a full case of Retumbo or 102gr and a 250gr bullet, you will never see any signs of pressure, although you will be on the north side of 3000 FPS.

Dean

Hit 3003 fps with 97 gr retumbo..... That's 5000 ft lbs. not compressed and no pressure... Still room . I dont even know what to think

Jim did two for me, a 26" shilen bull is shooting 1/8 moa +/- and a 24" green mountain 24" around 1/4" moa but load development is not final yet, elk season interrupted and it and it has not resumed yet.
I got 3K with sierra 250 out of my "other" 24" with h1000 so retumbo and a longer barrel should get you well above that.

I got the opportunity to try out one of the 160gr ttsx's/102gr Rl17 loads this weekend on a hunt. Took an Axis Deer with a shot thru the ribs, no tracking needed!! Thanks again Dean.

My 250gr berger load is is running an average of 3092fps with 98gr of H-1000.

The bad part is I really don't have anything to shoot it at here that I can decimate with it. lol I need prairie dogs, dangit. My buddy wants me to take it deer hunting and only take head shots. Haha

I have used mine dear hunting the last four years and have not lost a single scrap of meat.

Just put it threw there ribs, It'll do the job nicely. Shoulder shot could get messy but lung shot is no problem.
