Cant wait to see the pictures. I use the Evolution and wish I could trade it in for an Element. The tube has its uses but is not practical.

Got the notice that the Chassis was delivered. Will get it together and pictures up tonight. Going to try to zero on Saturday and shoot a match on Sunday!

Looks awesome man! I plan on building a DGR one day, hopefully. Love the Element too!

Next barrel will probably be 25" instead of 27" to balance a little better. It's about 29" with the brake.

Yeah, I've got an Creedmoor built on an Axis in a Boyds Pro Varmint, 26" 1" bull, plus a brake. It's front heavy. I think going with more of a varmint contour would have helped a lot though, as my 338 Edge is a .900" muzzle on a 30" barrel plus a brake, and it's not really any more front heavy. Maybe less, even.

I think 25" tapered to .875 would be perfect for the comp gun.

I would agree with that. Maybe even .850 or .800. Just depends on how small you're willing to go. I really wish I had gotten my Creed tapered. It's unnecessarily heavy.

So my current load is CCI #200 primer, Hornady brass, 40grs of H100V, under the 115gr Boron Nitride coated DTACS. Currently they're running just under 3150fps. It's a laser!

Very nice build.
Did you buy the action direct from Shilen? If so, what is the lead time?

They had them in stock when I called, shipped 3 days later.
