need help with rings/mounts

Just found the site but seems great, cant wait to get help on other topics, and read some old posts. Also I LOVE savage rifles. I need help on what rings/mounts I need to attach nightforce 5.5-22 nxs 56mm to a savage 12 vlp left hand. I have never had to buy rings/mounts before they always put them on for me at the local gun shop and never really worried about it before. I would like to use a picatinny style single piece rail and dont care on the rings. I was going to make it all NF unless I have to get something else or you guys think somethng else would be better. Also would like to leave enough space for butler creek caps if possible. And will be useing the sunshade if that makes a difference.

I have a Savage F class in 6mm BR and with a Ferrell base and a Sightron 8-32x56 in 30mm Med. height Burris Sig. Zee rings I have about 1/8" of clearence under the scopes sun shade. Enough room for a Butler Creek flip up cap.

if you guys dont mind were those 20moa built in bases?

Mine is a "0" MOA base. I use the Burris inserts to give me 20MOA.

I have the Warne 20 moa base and Warne tactical high 30mm rings on my 12F with a Nightforce 12-42x56 BR scope. I have lots of room under my scope, I could have gone with medium rings and probably been fine.
