If I had Money I'd just switch to 6XC and shoot David Tubbs ammo. Which I've been thinking about going to the 6XC next as I like the fact that I can get his reamer specs and his custom dies that are already built to those specs. I was thinking of going to an XCaliber 7Twist 5R barrel for this project. Order everything when I get to NC and start burning up my next 243 barrel. By time I have everything together for the 6XC I should be about done with the next barrel. AGW keeps spinning up accurate barrels for me in a timely manner, so there's no reason to run to someone else at this point since he's been keeping me in the game.

i might have to buy an XCaliber blank for the 3rd barrel on this action.

My action is about to see it's 3rd. They've put me on target and in the winners circle quite often on the days I do my part along with a lot of top 3/5 placings. There's nothing like watching your bullet impact dead on the crosshairs at 850yds during matches.

Just got confirmation that David Tubb is redesigning the DTACS. It will still be a 115gr bullet and boast a .620 G1! That would put me at exactly 7mils to 1000 and 12.8 Mils vice 14.4mils at 1400! I'm excited to get these ordered up for the new barrel!

so after 2(and 3 loads on some)i have some primer pockets starting to loosen up just a little...with 44.8gs of H4350 im getting right at 2960fps and its accurate but the primers are flattening out a bit and im thinking its going to be to hard on the brass so i decided to shoot an OCW with RL-17 this morning...ive had pretty good luck in 2 barrels with RL-17 and it exhibits more velocity with less obvious signs of pressure...this krieger looks like its going to like the RL-17/130g bergers and at 44gs the primers are still nice and round at the edges and the 130g berger hybrids are going about 70fps faster with .8gs less powder....

i only chrony'd 1 round from each charge weight so id have an idea of where i was at with velocities then shot the OCW test...i was trying to hurry because it was sprinkling and turning to rain at the end but im still pretty happy with how the RL-17 shot....

7fps slower than the load im shooting now and 1.9gs less powder...

27fps faster with 1.7gs less powder....

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff515/LTT-/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315571.jpg (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/LTT-/media/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315571.jpg.html)

52fps faster with 1.1gs less powder...

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff515/LTT-/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315573.jpg (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/LTT-/media/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315573.jpg.html)

and 72fps faster with .8gs less powder...

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff515/LTT-/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315575.jpg (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/LTT-/media/Mobile%20Uploads/1460315575.jpg.html)

i was going to try and go back out but its raining so ill get back to this next weekend...ill play with all these loads a little but my main focus will be on the 43.1g load...but then again the 3032fps has my attention as well LOL!!!

i think the 44g load would come back in at about 44.3 or 44.6 but that puts me back up to higher than i want pressures...hummm brass life or MORE VELOCITY??....its going to be a tough decision!!

LR Have you thought of trying VihtN550?

Yes many times but it's a little spendy for my liking...RL-19 is just about the same thing just cheaper...RL-19 is great powder but unless ran hot it's very dirty.

well i had me a good scare this morning...ive bedded a couple of stock(this is my first full fiber glass stock)and they have all come loose with a couple of good whacks with my hand...not this one!! i whacked it 6 time with my hand and it did not budge and i was like OH SH!T this isnt good...i checked for any mechanical lock and everything was clean so i got the rubber mallet and gave it 2 good whacks....nothing...3 more pretty hard hits and it popped loose...i was really stressing for a minute LOL!!

theres a couple of small flaws but nothing that will effect it...also dont use yellow clay it stains...the action and recoil lug are TIGHT!!

now the good stuff...i shot 20 rounds and instantly feel in love with this stock...the rifle feels lighter,is so much better balanced and just so easy to mount and shoot...im an A5 fan boy i guess!!

this was the first 5...the low shot was to re-zero and the horizontal was me finding my grip...last shot was in the purple so i think i found it...last week i shot the RL-17 OCW and was pretty impressed with velocities and groups so that what i shot today...the 43.1g load looked like the most promising so i adjusted seating depths and shot some 5 shot groups...mirage was bad it looked like the dots were bouncing all over the target and was just a blur...

DYSLEXIC WRITING LOL...these loads are 43.1g not 41.3...

Shot next to a guy with a tank break today. Concussion not so bad. Getting showered with carbon that was annoying lol. I took 7th today. Had some issues with the brass today. FL sizing seemed to cause pressure issues resulting in heavy bolt lift. New barrel and new brass get put to work this week!

LongRange

Did you size them to much? Need to set your die to where you have a slight crush fit if the brass is to loose(shoulder pushed back to much)it will give false pressure signs...also the necks may have been tighter than when you neck size.
