View Full Version : Lady Hunter Action
I'm looking to start my first built. I found a new Lady Hunter in 30-06 for $360. Is this a good deal? Is it a good action to start with? I want to build a long range hunter. Are there any issues with this action I should be aware of? It has the detachable magazine and I want that.

it should be a 110(ish) action and as such you can build just about any rifle that strikes your fancy. Depending on the condition of the rifle $360.00 could be a good deal.
Thanks for the reply. It's brand new. I might run and get it tomorrow. They also had a short action Lady Hunter in .308 for a little more.
I got the Lady Hunter 30-06 today. I end getting in it for $285 + tax. It's brand new so I'm feeling pretty good about that deal:).

The Lady Hunter's that I have seen look like a regular 110 action with some lightening treatments of the Lightweight Hunter. They are slabbed to remove some weight but don't have the deep reliefs in the action, fluted bolt, or Skeletonized bolt handle.

sounds good, what are you going to do with it?
I'm not completely sure yet. It will be a 6.5 something. Maybe 6.5x284 or 6.5-06ai.

Great buy! You got a very good deal! I have owned 3 LWH rifles. Not any different from the standard Savage action except for appearance.

That's a heck of a buy you found there.

Cabelas had them on clearance:). They had it marked with a $75 main in rebate that wasn't available. The manager was great and just took the $75 off at the store:)

That would have worked for me too. Great snag!
