Is there anyone who does a conversion to a savage action to take a Remington pattern trigger?
I know there are some after market triggers (I have a rifle basic), but the number of choices of Remington pattern triggers almost assures you of finding one you will like (even if they are expensive).
Thanks in advance.

I think I am fairly safe saying no. The sear mechanisms are very different between the 2.

The cocking piece on a savage is on the side. The Remington and most others are on the bottom. Therefore the interface is much different and is impossible to facilitate the conversion. If you want a great trigger try one of SSS. If Rifle Basics was self contained it would be the ticket as well. It is a great trigger but there are tuning and safety issues IMHO.

lots of action manufactures getting on the barrel nut bandwagon these days. Guess there are lots of people out there who have gotten tired of waiting a year to have an action rebarreled. Not to mention the expense.

Mausingfield Bolt Action
or if you want a Remington trigger build a Remage!
probably more out there. Seems most actions can be converted.

I thought this post was about Remington triggers on a Savage.

If it could be done, I'd have done it a long time ago.
