If your cases are sticky with lanolin mix, probably used too much in the mix. HEET (isopropyl alcohol), $2/12oz; 4oz liquid lanolin $5.

Mixed spray requires little and easy to apply, dries quickly, no stickiness, clean. 4 oz bottle of liquid lanolin makes 48 oz of mix. Flammable however.

No one uses olive oil? Doesn't even have to be extra virgin...

I've been using the 12 oz iso-Heet with 1.5 oz Lanolin mixture for over year now. I am sold on it. Not because its cheap. but works great and is fast, Have had zero stuck cases with it. I put cases in box, shake box while tilting and about a third stand up to get spray in necks, shake again and spray one more time.

I put my cases in a gallon zip-lok baggie give it a couple of squirts, zip it up and mix the cases really well and then dump them out on a clean rag. Once the alcohol is evaporated size away. I have been doing this method for 4 years and knock on wood zero stuck cases.

Lanolin leaves nasty sticky residue. Try CMD #3 dissolved in heptane (brake clean) between 50/1 to 100/1 either weight or volume.

Lanolin dissolves and washes away completely with hot water. Doesn't even need soap. How do you get oils such as CMD off the cases? (BTW nobody has yet mentioned how to get Imperial off...still curious.)

Bag Balm is not a joke. I have a couple or three bullet lube recipes in the files that include it. But it does have vaseline and paraffin wax in it, so won't rinse off cases as easily. Will need soap and a lot of agitation.

I've used one shot for a while now and love it but finding it locally is next to impossible so I got the 99%isolated and lanolin just haven't mixed any up yet

Slightly off topic but could you share that tumble lube recipe? I have a ton of bag balm and shoot a lot of cast 44mag

The only thing I use imperial wax for is neck turning. I have tried the graphite too, it does well for neck sizing but not enough for full length. I get it off with a caliber sized nylon brush then clean the brush with hoppes. Wipe the stuff on the outside with a rag.

In my portable reloading kit for small cartridges like the 6BR and 6mm turbo 40 and my grendel I use ballistol to clean the cases and lube for.resizing.

Just wipe the case down with a moist rag for cleaning and then wipe the resized case with a clean dry rag. Works.great for small numbers of cases when you are doing load development at the range.

I use one shot, The problem with oil of any kind is if you get it inside the case it will foul some of the powder. Who else has seen a shot go off like a rocket launch?

With cases prepped with OneShot? I can't say that I have.

I had it happen to me as a teenager with some ammo loaded by a friend of my dads. Apparently he used oil to resize and let it get into the case before loading. 3 out 10 went off like a rocket launch. I missed deer with the first so we shot the rest to see what would happen, making sure the bore was clear between each shot of course.

If you have oil residue with the lanolin mix, you mixed it wrong.
