Looking at anAxis compact.Website says 1:9 twist on Axis Compact 1:9.5 in an Axis XP compact.Which is correct? I would assume 9.5 would be used in a shorter barrel but they both are 20".

The barrel length doesn’t effect the twist rate ! I would say it’s typo error . What caliber is it and also Savage stays consistent on their twist rates !

I would assume the 9.5 is in error. Both the camo and muddygirl XP's show the correct 9 twist.
They are screamers out of the box and substantially more accurate than their price would suggest - hard to go wrong!

I think I would like a compact to put in and out of the truck cab and inside a box blind fox coyote hunting.Have a good 243 Remington ADL but just want a shorter rifle. 223 will be cheaper to shoot and reload for.
