I still need to mount the scope, load up some rounds, and take it out to the back yard range.
Here’s the meat and taters. It started out as a 12 VLP LH. Timed and trued action by SSS. SSS comp trigger. Two complete bolt assembles, .223, and .308 bolt heads. Modified factory stock, inleted for CDI DBM system. So far, caliber choices are - .223 REM. (Savage 1 9 twist.) And 6.5 x 47 Lapua, ( Shilen 1-8 twist.) Soon I will be adding .308 Remington to the list.

This build started about 2 year ago, I wanted a drop mag, 10 round .223 for varmint’s. The only system at that time, was CDI. But no .223. When AI announced that they were coming out with the .223 mags, A light came on. How about a switch barrel gun that will feed .223, .308, and the 6.5x47L. So, I perched the bottom metal. I had to make barrel stubs for testing, because, I don’t have that many barrels hanging around. It took several “off days” to get the pillar heights right to feed the .223 .308 and 6.5x47L , from the two different magazines. I couldn’t use the recommended heights, it just wouldn’t feed all the different calibers that I wanted to shoot. Other calibers that I have tested 22-250, 300 Savage, and 6.5x284. All feed without any trouble. I also made a custom barrel vise, to allow for a consistent recoil lug alignment.
