Can someone please explain to me what would be involved with changing a Model 11 Bottom Bolt Release Detachable Mag to a Blind mag. center feed.

Reason being is I just completed fitting a Richards Micro fit to it and while trying to take some pictures of the finished stock it got accidentally knocked off the table and the stock is now firewood.

You will need the internal box, spring & follower. As well as a stock that will work of course.

Thanks. Know if those parts are available from Savage?

I doubt it...to regular folk like us. Savage really only deals with Smiths for selling parts. This is your best bet. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/savstevspgfld

Only thing though is you have the bottom bolt release. I *believe you need the stock specific to that.

Yes I know that about the stock and the bottom bolt release. The stock I just broke was a Richards and I can get one with either the DBM or Blind. I just need to specify when I order.

I was able to purchase replacement bottom metal directly from Savage.

Assuming you have a Savage factory detachable mag. You already have everything you need but the little retaining clip. It fits in the groove that runs back to the rear action screw like below.

Thanks Robinhood now to see if I can find one or at least the part number.
