I’m running a 20lb Chrome-Silicon, Flatwire spring with the firing pin I machined for my Model 10. 100% reliable as well. And running about .031” FP protrusion at that.

Is that a perfect centered, beautiful primer strike or what!

I will be honest, gentlemen- I'm fast learner, but I realize that I have a lot to learn as I'm reading the intricate details of what goes into precision rifle building

It all depends on what your goals are when it comes to accuracy. You can buy the most expensive stuff you can get, and unless you have the ability / skill / knowledge, you will never shoot better than the ability that you have.
I've been blessed that I have /had some very good shooter's that taught me a lot of the stuff that I know, and have been shooting since I was 7-8 years old. I'm also lucky that I've been debt free for the last decade, and I can afford to buy / build the gun's that I've always dreamed of shooting. I have several Savage build's that will shoot right there with my Custom action build's, and they cost a hell of a lot less to put together.

The type of stock / chassis style that you want / like will really dictate the type of action you will need to buy. Savage stuff can be pretty limited (Especially LH stuff), that's the main difference when it comes to the aftermarket availability of parts.

Decide on what you want, the budget that you can spend, and that will point you in the direction to take. I won't even start on optics, mainly because I spend more on them than I do the gun in most cases.

Or…. You could just have fun with with it; not take it so serious or stress about it. ;) I had my years of being an accomplished shooter. Insane accuracy & FAST! But that’s gone now. As I said, I can still hit what I want. And all the knowledge is still me. But shooting is simply for fun. It’s only real world application for me is self defense. I carry a pistol everywhere I go. But making little groups in paper… not so much. (BTW… I even built the pistol I carry every day, LOL!)

One good piece of advice.. I say, do what YOU want to do, not what others tell you to do.

Thanks for sharing your opinions!
I will be on lookout for factory left hand action for now. Savage or Remy.
It's been some time since I visited pawn shops and keep an eye on classifieds in gun forums.
