Hello. I'm new here, and this is my first post. I'm looking to buy a new .22-250 and have found a creature called the Savage Model 12 BTV. I can't find any information on this particular model anywhere. I contacted the seller, and he said they were an exclusive from the distributor. Does anybody have any experience with this model, good or bad? Also, would $520 seem like a reasonable price?
Thanks for your replies in advance.

A Savage BGTV was sold through several distributors. It is a 26" varmint weight fluted barrel, also came in SS. The stock is a Salt & Pepper laminate w/thumbhole. Does this sound like the gun you have seen?
I have a BGTV SS in.204, new it was a little over $700. If the gun you saw is in stainless that's a great price. If blued it's still pretty good.

Yep, it looks exactly like a Model 12 BGTV, except it is a brown laminate. The metal is blued, and I can't tell if the barrel is fluted or not, but I'm assuming it is.
