Thanks for the advise YoBuck... And I appreciate you thinking I'm a better shot than I do. LOL!! I've never shot past 500 yards in my entire life (22-250 on the P-dog field), and have never hit anything past 450 yards. I can't have confidence in something I've never attempted or achieved... My entire build was centered around the 1000 yard mark (as I figured that to be a nice round long range number) and if I could hit a 10" plate at that distance, then that would be "good enough for the girls I go with" as my pop says... So, my scope isn't a handicap for what it was originally intended.
I will choose my load here soon and then do as you suggest.. "Go shoot and figure out what needs fixed from there".
Gotta say, you make it sound like "Shooting at 1000 yards is like a chip shot"...

Don't get the impression I'm saying its a chip shot, because it isn't.
And I'm also not saying that there aren't some very knowledgable people, some of whom are also very good shooters here on this site.
But what I am saying is that average Joe shooter, who can shoot 1" groups from a bench at 100 yds, can also do well at much longer distances.
On the days that you wont shoot well due to bad conditions, the better shooters will have problems also, but you wont always hear that.
As for a mile, we hear lots of talk about that today, but also realize that's about all it amounts to for the most part.
Take a look at the mid range trajectory height above ground of your cartridge, or any of them for that matter.

Found the load this weekend guys... Thanks again for all of the advise. 43 gr. H4350 with the 143 ELDX (2750 FPS) may drop it back to 42.8 and mess with seating depths to keep this kind of group going as I did have some ejector marks on my brass @ 43 gr. We will see if the pressure is a little less using once fired brass (in my rifle).
