Scope install on Savage Axis II 30-06

My new Savage Axis II 30-06 comes tapped for a scope mount. I have a scope and Weaver rings but need the Weaver base plate and the 4 screws. Are they sold together??

Yes, the weaver rail comes with screws. That's what I put on my Axis. Do not get the two piece weaver bases.

Thanks. Now I have to get the correct flip up lens caps for my new Bushnell Banner II 3x9x40. I can't find the specs for the front and rear anywhere and Bushnell does not pick up the phone.

If you have it in hand just measure the diameters.

Just my luck. Tried contacting Savage today to confirm whether my scope barrel taps are 6 or 8 thread. They are on vacation for 2 weeks! LOL

If you can measure the holes there is a specific difference in dia. Or go to the local TruValue or Ace and buy some 8-40 or 6-48 screws to see which ones fit.

The screws that hold the wall light switch cover in you house on are 6-32 so if it drops into the hole you will need to get 8's.
