Need some identification and stock help Gen 1 Model 10/110

I just purchased a pre-1968 savage model 10/110 in 308. It has a terrible stock with the side button release. It was practically glued to the stock so when I removed it I see that I have the gen 1 with the 4.52in action screw length and would like a Boyds or Choate stock to replace it with. It is also a lefty with the DBM. Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing that you had seen this.

Unless things have changed a lot there is practically no support for your action.

    Good luck.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

About the only place you can buy a stock for that action is Boyd’s. They may also have a couple in their pre built stocks section.
Other than that you’d need to get a custom one made from either Sharpshooter Supply or Stockade Gunstocks.
Choate does not make one for that action, and you cannot take a newer model and redrill the pillars to make it fit. The 4.5” is an animal all to itself.
